Description
The DCC-12 is an electric vehicle charge controller specially designed to allow a charging station to be connected to an electrical panel that would otherwise not have sufficient capacity to allow connection.
Functioning
- Real-time reading of the energy consumption of the home electrical panel
- Detects when the total energy consumption exceeds 80% of the capacity of the main circuit breaker and temporarily cuts off power to the charging station
- Automatically replenishes the charging station when the total consumption of the electrical panel is less than 80% of its capacity for more than 15 minutes

Disadvantages
- Adding a DCC does not increase the value of your home unlike a change in electrical panel
