Incentive for residential charging stations

Incentives for residential EV chargers
Do you own or rent an electric vehicle, new or used? You can benefit from financial support of $600 from the Government of Quebec for the purchase of a 240-volt home charging station.
* Since January 1, 2021 , proof of installation is required to obtain this financial assistance.

Please note that only the owner or long-term lessee of the electric vehicle can submit a reimbursement request for a EVSE station. Make sure that the charging station invoice is in your name.

Incentives for multi-unit and condo EV chargers (EVSE)

Subsidies for multi-unit terminals and condos of 3 or more units
For the acquisition and installation of a multi-unit & condo charging station , you are eligible for a government subsidy if the installation is done by our qualified partner master electricians and members of the CMEQ (Corporation of Master Electricians of the Quebec). The grant corresponds to the lesser of the following amounts:
50% of eligible expenses;
or
$5,000 per wireless charging station;
or
$5,000 per connector, for charging stations equipped with one or more than one connector, allowing the same number of electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously.
Financial Aid Limitations
When the applicant is a natural person who owns a VEE, VHR, LSV or an ME, only one charging station can be financed per applicant and per address.
For other applicants, the maximum amount of financial assistance allocated per building per fiscal year is set at:

Incentives for commercial EV Chargers (EVSE)
In Quebec, businesses, municipalities and organizations that wish to install charging stations for electric
vehicles in the workplace can benefit from financial assistance. This grant covers 50% of eligible
expenses, with a maximum of $5,000 per terminal or connector. Expenses may include the
planning and installation of the stations, which must be used exclusively for charging the organization’s vehicles,
employees or visitors under certain conditions. For more information, consult .
