Are there differences between the level 1, 2 and 3 charging stations?

Yes!

The Level 1 charging stations are comparable to a spare tire. They allow you to recharge the vehicle when you are far from all other higher-level chargers and when you need to charge your vehicle. Plugging into a 15A / 120v socket which is easily found. The daily and long-term use of this terminal affects the cells of the battery since it is a slow recharge.

Level 2 charging stations are ideal for daily recharging of your vehicle at home. Using 240V, they offer a recharge of 5 to 6 times higher in power than a level 1 charger, thus reducing the recharge time. During winter, the connection allows the preheating of the battery and thus increase the autonomy of the battery a little thanks to the latter.

The Level 3 charging stations otherwise known as “Fast Chargers / Superchargers” or “DCFC” (Direct Current Fast Chargers) are those found in large shops or near highways allowing users to recharge their vehicle in a very short time. They are compatible with vehicles with a CHAdeMO™ or COMBO™ charging port. Daily and long-term use of this terminal affects the cells of the battery since it is recharging too quickly. It is advisable to stop charging your vehicle at 80% when using a level 3 charger, because at this threshold the level 2 charger recharges as quickly and becomes less expensive and beneficial for battery life.
